CLEVELAND (AP) - Cavaliers center Andrew Bynum has been suspended indefinitely from the team for detrimental conduct and banned from all team activities.
Bynum, who signed a two-year, $12 million contract with the Cavs this summer, did not travel with the team to Boston for Saturday's game. It's possible that Bynum has played his final game with the Cavs.
Earlier this season, Bynum talked about retirement and said his numerous knee problems have been a challenge to overcome. The 7-footer has shown flashes of being a productive player, but has been too inconsistent and doesn't seem to have any passion to play. He missed all 11 shots from the field in a game this week against Detroit.
The Cavs only guaranteed Bynum $6 million on his deal, and they can clear more salary cap space if he is traded or released by Jan. 7. www.aol.com
